From the same company that brought us Sunnies Specs and Sunnies
Café, now comes Sunnies Face. I think it’s the way how Filipinos love skincare
and makeup that makes the cosmetics industry boom like crazy – much more if
prominent influencers and celebrities launch their own, supported by big names
or otherwise. I am not much of a lippie person but when my mom told me that I
looked so pale, I turned to some lipsticks to give me some color (though you
would still see me with nothing but lip gloss on some days).
Why was I able to score one? This mall outlet has a few items
left, i.e, all shades are not available except for “Mood” and “Hot Sauce”. I
lean towards browns and nudes and I had qualms on the remaining shades. You
know, red and mauve are quite daunting for me and I feel like they are very
challenging to wear. So I got my brother pick one for me and he suggested that
I get the red one. Since it is buildable, I can tone it down to a light and
subtle pink or go with a fiery and bold red. Well, this is the only red
lipstick that I could carry simply by looking at the swatches.
There were no long queues when we dropped by the store, hence, we
were able to snap some photos - I am loving the sleek interiors of pink and
cream.
Appropriately named as “Fluffmatte”, the lipstick is lightweight,
non-drying, pigmented and has a velvety finish. In addition, the product in the
bullet has a suede texture. The design and packaging is spot on too. It is well
to note that this is formulated in Italy but made in China. They offer 9 shades
that are very wearable for all skin tones, not just for the lips but for eyes
and cheeks as well.
